Key Lime Pie Takes Best Hybrid at Cannabis Classic
Best Hybrid is the hardest award to win in the Cannabis Classic’s competition, but Steve Voth was able to pull it off with his entry Key Lime Pie. The Girl Scout Cookies sour-lime phenotype edged out a victory of Muana Kae White Fire OG by Pakalolo Supply Co. and Arctic Blue by Arctic Blue Farms.
Sponsored by House of Green, Key Lime Pie was grown hydroponically from a gifted clone using Vegamatrix, and was entry No. 8 in the competition. The total THC content of Key Lime Pie, tested by CannTest, was 19.89%.
Here are some of the comments from the judges:
“Beautiful bud structure.
“Nice flush. Burned white.
“Smooth with a NICE finish.
“As soon as I hit it, I felt the back of my eyes warm up.
“Relaxing and euphoric.
“Sour-citrus herbal smell and taste.
“An A+ serving of Alaskan greatness.
This was the first time Voth entered into the Cannabis Classic competition. He joins Joe Potter of Alaska and Tyson Haworth of sofresh Farms in Oregon as the only competitors to win a best-in-class award their first time competing, outside of the inaugural events.
